Chuck began playing the trumpet in 1970 after a neighbor, who was cleaning his
attic, found a trumpet and said, “Here…try this.” Since that time, the trumpet
has played a major part in Chuck’s life. He was active through high school and
college, where he earned many awards and honors for his talents. He played in
Jazz & Concert bands, Orchestras, Show Choirs, Pit Orchestras for theater
productions, and a variety of Brass groups. During college, Chuck was able to
tour the Midwest and was the featured soloist of many events, including
half-time shows for the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. While on a
concert tour in Great Britain, Chuck was the featured soloist at Royal Albert
Hall in London.
After college, Chuck remained active with music. He owned and ran a 15-piece
Big Band featuring swing music and he continued to play in a variety of other
groups as well as teach trumpet at the Waukesha Conservatory of Music.
Even though it would be easy to fill his schedule and play 7 nights a week,
Chuck has limited his involvement in groups to his favorites; “Sterling &
Brass”, and a close second, “In The Mood” – an 18 piece dance orchestra.
Chuck is an Investment Representative and Certified Financial Planner with
Edward Jones in Hartland where he takes care of his client’s investments and
financial needs. Chuck is a native of the Lake Country area and currently lives
in Hartland, WI with his wife Donna and their son Oliver.
