"Last December [2000], Sterling & Brass accompanied the choirs of Mukwonago High School. The Concert Choir sang selection from Rutter's Gloria and the combined choirs sang Pinkham's Christmas Cantata and Rutter's Joy to the World. I had heard about the Sterling & Brass Quintet from a friend who is an area choral director and who was very pleased with the performance work done by Sterling & Brass.I contacted Jack Schulze to discuss the possibility of hiring the quintet to play for my December concert. Mr. Schulze was most accommodating in our discussions. He was very timely in getting back to me with the groups' rates and availability. I was relieved to secure the group very early in the fall because it was one less thing for me to worry about! Mr. Schulze contacted me closer to the performance date and even stopped by to pick the music up. As our concert date approached, I lost one of the high school players who was to play trumpet IV for one of the selections. Me. Schulze quickly found me a replacement. The members of the group arrived early for both the rehearsal and performance. Their playing was exemplary! They not only played well, but also seemed to genuinely have fun being a part of the High School concert. Because it was the Christmas season, the members of Sterling & Brass volunteered to play holiday selections prior to the start of the concert. The audience thoroughly enjoyed being serenaded while they waited for the concert to begin! If I need a brass quintet at another concert, I will not hesitate to call Sterling & Brass. They are consummate professionals and a joy to work with. I heartily recommend them to anyone needing brass!"
